5th Telemedicine Workshop for Resource-limited Settings, ITM, Antwerp

Telemedicine experts involved in resource-limited settings and participants from around the world gathered in the Tropical Institute of Antwerp, Belgium, for a 3-day workshop. Implementations from various large-scale projects and networks were discussed and analyzed, including the Swinfen Charitable Trust, the iPath project, the ITM Telemedicine activities, and the RAFT network, .

Le RAFT à Telecom 2011

Le RAFT/UNFM est invité par l'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé à présenter ses activités au pavillon sur la cybersanté lors de la réunion internationale Telecom 2011, qui se tiendra à Genève du 24 au 27 octobre 2011:

Your eHealth project/application “RAFT” has been short-listed to be invited as a good example of innovation to be shared and promoted during this world event.
The ITU-WHO eHealth pavilion will be the central hub for eHealth activities at Telecom 2011 and will emphasize innovation, networking, knowledge sharing and will provide a dynamic experience for participants. It will accommodate a thematic set of eHealth applications that have demonstrated valuable results in developing countries. A series of Side Talks will invite eHealth experts to dialogue with visitors on Telemedicine, mHealth, maternal and child health, eLearning, Innovation, etc.

Au Tchad, constitution de la SOTIBS et déploiement du RAFT/UNFM

La SOTIBS, Société Tchadienne d'Informatique Biomédicale et de Santé, a été créée ce 10 septembre 2011. Elle rassemblera les acteurs du domaine au niveau du Tchad, et renforcera ainsi la dynamique et les activités du RAFT/UNFM. Grâce au soutien de LYNX for Hope et de la Fondation Artères, les activités du RAFT/UNFM se déploient, d'abord à l'HGRN, puis prochainement à l'hôpital de Moundou (à 600km au Sud). D'autres sites sont envisagés, et le projet de déploiement sera discuté lors d'un atelier réunissant les principaux acteurs concernés, les 14 et 15 novembre 2011 à N’Djamena.
